Following the good practices every VPS comes with pre-selected tools that make handling it easier. CyberPanel itself installs LiteSpeed, MariaDB (accessible through phpMyAdmin) and PHP. Additionally it installs Redis as a server caching system, which can handle even big eCommerce websites. Here is a full list of the installed features and their description:

CentOS 7
Starting from the foundation of the web sever, we use CentOS 7. As this Linux distribution has specialized exclusively in server administration through the years, we believe that it is the right choice to be used as ground for building the best VPS. Surely there are other distributions out there, that can also do the job, but this is not their main application. Of course each VPS is updated, before any of the other applications is installed.

System administration tools
The administration of the VPS and the hosting panel can be done in two ways. One is directly from the panel itself, as it allows for almost all features to be handled, including user creation, database handling, firewall adjusting, etc. The other is more technical, but preferred by developers and it allows for more direct approach. By accessing the VPS through an SSH client, one can really get an understanding of each of the aspects, surrounding the magic called webhosting. For such clients or developers we’ve prepared tools that will allow them to easily find what they need. These tools include bash completion, mlocate, various archiving and editing tools, etc. Furthermore, CyberPanel allows for direct access to the server within itself, eliminating the need to use external SSH terminals.

EPEL repository
This repository holds many of the additional applications that can be installed on a CentOS system. It is only natural for it to be present in any installation.

Google Certbot
SSL is one of the most important aspects of website security. As the current trend goes, we might soon reach a point where browsers won’t allow for unsecured websites to be opened. Once SSL was expensive and could be issued by several trusted institutions. Today still, if one wants a personalized SSL, which will display the company and brand it has to be purchased. However for most business that is non-essential, as there is no real difference between a personalized SSL and a ordinary one. That is why today Google offers their FREE Let’s Encrypt SSL’s that are renewed every 3 months automatically. Now one doesn’t need to pay big bucks to have their website secured. Several simple clicks from CyberPanel and all is done.

WP-CLI
As WordPress increases its market share constantly we think that it is crucial to offer their CLI. It is another more developing oriented tool, as it is managed through the secured console (SSH). However almost any WordPress developer or admin will recognize it. It allows for easy administration of a WordPress installation. By our experience it is a must have.

Fail2Ban
This feature is purely for security. It is installed with default settings, which block every IP trying to bruteforce the SSH access. Those IPs will be blocked for 10 minutes. This will prevent anyone from trying to break into the backend of the server.

OpenLiteSpeed
That is the web sever, used by CyberPanel. It is the fast growing alternative to the standard Apache/Nginx. LiteSpeed is faster in handling requests, than the other web server solutions. Furthermore, used with LS Cache plugin, it brings the website speed to new levels. Even without CDN, the website will give similar speedtest results. On top, CyberPanel allows for direct Cloudflare integration, further protecting and speeding up the website. When it comes to speed, this configuration will never let down.

Supported Apps

CyberPanel supports several App Installers, which can deploy instantly. Those are WordPress+LS Cache, Joomla, Git, Prestashop and Magento. Each allows for easy administration and fast setup of an instance. For example, instead of manually downloading, installing and configuring a new WordPress website, that can be done with one click and several prompts.

All of this is built on top of a premium-level VPS machines, provided by UpCloud. Their MaxiOPS technology is optimized to work 2x fater than a standard SSD. Combined with OpenLiteSpeed it delivers the ultimate performance. That is why by choosing our products, one doesn’t only get the fastest VPS possible, but the most complete hosting panel. It differentiates from the standard cPanel and Plesk, but in our KnowledgeBase you can find all that is needed to run a self hosting service. We also offer support via Ticketing System, available for logged in customers. More about it you can find in Our Support.
